CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH
This program is designed to enhance students’ competencies in terms of the knowledge, skills and practice of counseling professionals in the context of clinical mental health in a variety of helping profession settings. The clinical mental health counseling specialization course touches on important aspects such as psychopathological diagnosis and treatment; etiology of mental illness and behavioral dysfunction; psychopharmacology; principles of psychotherapy, psycho education of prevention of mental disorders; theory of human learning and development; as well as clinical research and evaluation. All of these specialization courses are able to increase students’ competence in promoting optimal mental health, dealing with normal problems of living and treating psychopathology
