A master’s degree from the Sultan Idris Education University or any institution of higher learning recognised by the Senate; OR

Other qualifications recognised by the Senate; AND

Fulfilment of specific entry requirements imposed by the faculty concerned, as the case may be.

English Qualification Min. Score English Language courses that  candidate need to take
  IELTS or Equivalent 5.0 or equivalent Candidate can register  under IGS and at the same time need to register and sit for English Language Proficiency Course (ELPC) level 4, AND pass the English Placement Test (EPT) with a minimum score of 85% before graduate
<3.0 – 4.5 or equivalent Candidate can not register under IGS and need to register and sit for English Placement Test (EPT) AND English Language Proficiency Course (ELPC) And need to re-sit for IELTS and obtained 5.0 or equivalent in two (2) years.
*TOEFL ITP 500 and above or equivalent Candidate can register  under IGS and at the same time need to register and sit for the English Placement Test (EPT) or sit for IELTS or equivalent.
Exemptions to the general English requirement are allowed in the following cases:
a) Candidate from country that use English as their official language OR use the academic qualifications from that country.

b) Candidate use the academic qualification form the institutions that applied the English Language as a medium of Instruction – candidate need to provide the letter for that university verified the medium of instruction were taught in English Language.

c) Candidates taking Malay as the field of study or a field of study that uses Malay language as the medium of instruction.

d) Candidates from cognate countries (Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, and South Thailand). However if the candidate want to write in English, candidate need to full the English requirement with IELTS minimum 5.0 or equivalent.

e) Candidate use the academic qualification from Malaysian local university.
Exemptions to the general English requirement are allowed in the following cases:

AND will write the thesis in Arabic Language subject to fulfill one of the following requirement:

i) Candidate form Arabic Speaker Countries need to send the minimum Score of IELTS band 3.0 or equivalent before graduate and will be the graduation requirement; OR

ii) Candidate form Non-Arabic Speaker Countries need to send the minimum Score of IELTS band 3.0 or equivalent and sit for Arabic Placement Test (APT) with minimum score 80% under PBMPU. For those get the score less then 80%, the candidate need to sit for Arabic Language Proficiency Course (ALPC) before end of first semester. The candidate need to register the course by their self.
